Private Sessions with Corva
2-Hour Consultations

- Help with design and basic planning of a space — This could include starting with a blank slate of a yard; redoing an existing yard to create more habitat and climate-readiness; designing water catchment and rainwater infiltration into the soil.
- Assessment of health, and coming up with solutions — For example, figuring out what’s ailing a tree and what might be the underlying cause; making hard decisions about climate readiness and replacement plants; determining if more or less water/mulch is needed and how to accomplish that.
- Help with filling out the Valle de Oro Backyard Habitat workbook, and getting certified! Sometimes it’s helpful to have someone in your corner, guiding you through the process. I’ve completed it myself and helped others as well, and we have our cool yard signs to prove it : ) I’d love to help you get yours!

4-Hour Projects
4-Hour Projects

- Pruning — Hire Corva for a chunk of time to tackle specific pruning tasks. You’ll have an opportunity when you register to write your specifics and ask questions.
- Pruning Instruction — Work alongside Corva and learn pro-tips, for example clearing shrubs from a pathway; pruning a fruit tree; restoring a previous bad haircut; endless possibilities!
- Instruction and help with mulching — Work with Corva to create mulch from your own yard; decide what type(s) of mulch to purchase if necessary; spread mulch together; remove some fabric and rock together; all things mulch!
- Hosting a workshop at your house — Have a pruning project that needs professional help, and also see the value in others learning from the process? Contact me to explore this option.

This could be a good fit for you if:
- When it comes down to it, you notice that you always come back to looking at things holistically, and lean into the Big Picture. What’s the historical context? How many beings can benefit from this action? What’s my motivation? What can I plant here at home that will contribute to the biodiversity of my neighborhood?
- And yet you also deeply value the science, results, and mad skills that support successful gardening, habitat cultivation, and climate resilience. How is this particular species of tree going to fare in the coming 20-50 years, here in New Mexico? What forage (food source) shrubs are best to plant now in order to assist migratory birds and their changes in the coming years? How can I incorporate rain water into my garden plan?
- You might have a problem on your hands — such as a disease or insect issue in a tree, a water or soil issue, or overall lack of vigor — and want to explore how this imbalance is connected with the entirety of your property, neighborhood, city, bioregion, earth...and universe.
- You’re a hands-on person — you like to learn new skills, be involved in your garden, and try new things!
- You’re intrigued by the Tree School analysis of three gardens: The Inner Garden, The Home Garden, and The World Garden — three worlds essentially, that interrelate and affect each other.
- You’d like to take practical steps toward creating climate resilient habitat in your Home Garden. You want to do this while also cultivating joy, ease, trust, and deep love inside your own heart, your Inner Garden. And you wish to embody this, rooted confidence as you move outward into the World Garden, helping to plant and harvest with others. But how do you start this process?
- Maybe you’re a former Divine Earth customer (hello!), perhaps you’re curious about the Tree School Mentorship, or perhaps you loved attending a playshop, and now you’d like to get a taste of working 1:1 with Corva for a couple of hours at your home.
- Or you read all of this and think, I’d like to say this is what I think about, but I never would have come up with all of that...but now that I read it I’m like, Heck yeah!

What do we do?
- When you book a session, you’ll fill out an intake form that will give me a good idea of what’s important to you, what’s happening in your yard, and where we’ll start. This gets the wheels turning!
- After you book a session, you’ll receive a confirmation email that gives you a few things to do to prepare for our session together.
- At the session, we’ll first set an intention for our time together. Then we dive into what your objective or wish is; or we talk about the issues, wishes and concerns, and I assess what the underlying causes might be; or we accomplish a project together.
- We close the session by drawing conclusions based on what we’ve unearthed (literally and figuratively!) together. I write up recommendations and actionable next steps so that you have a tangible plan of what to work on next in your garden.
- A month later I’ll email you to check in and see how things are going. In this way, you can keep an ongoing list of questions, observations, and insights, knowing that you’ll have an opportunity to share them with me in a month and get some witnessing, feedback, and help.
“Every time Corva comes to my house, I know I am going to learn something new about the flora in my own yard! In our Private Session, she taught me how to prune a shrub that loves to take over the front walkway. She both modeled what she was doing as well as gave me an opportunity to practice my new knowledge with her as my guide. She encouraged me to trust my instincts and approach the shrub not just from the top down, but from the bottom up -- from an embodied approach. Thank you, Corva, for your mad skills, wisdom and patience!”

Q+A:
- How do I know how much time I need? Possibly need longer than 4 hours? If you’re sure, book 2 days. Not quite sure? Email me here.
- Have a Project but only need 2 hours for it? Book with a neighbor or a friend (who lives under 15 min from your house) and share the 4 hours with them! One of you does the full booking and will be house #1. You’ll include the 2nd person’s address and info in the registration. This ‘feed 2 birds with one scone’ option gives both of you the teaching/service you need, you can come to each other’s sessions and learn double, and I get a full day of work. Win-win-win! (note: I cannot ’split the cost’ in the booking. You two handle the sharing of the cost, thanks for understanding.)
- What days are you available? I do 2-hr Consultations on Tuesdays, and 4-hr Projects on Thursdays and Fridays.
- What times are you available? In the hot months, I start work at 6 or 7am and finish around 1pm. In the cold months, I start at 8 or 9am and finish around 3 or 4pm. When you sign up, you can choose the time.
"Corva helped us see our trees in an entirely new way. We'd hoped for some practical knowledge--which she gave in spades--but we were surprised by the deep affection and appreciation for our trees' beauty, shape, and resilience that grew through our time together. Not only do we have better skills to care for our trees' needs in this unique high desert climate, but we also have a vibrant sense of connection to them. Corva knows through experience what no book can teach and shares her wisdom in the most humble, accessible ways. She has legit expertise yet offers guidance without intimidating; her affirmative approach kept us eager to learn and grow."
